Case Study :: Colfax Furniture
Recently, G-Force Marketing developed an effective social media engagement program for Colfax Furniture. G-Force acquired Colfax Furniture as a client in June 2011. At the time, Colfax Furniture had a Facebook Business Page with 79 non-active fans.
Background
Colfax Furniture came to G-Force Marketing Solutions needing a fan base and an increase in social engagement. Their company website was under construction and they wanted their Facebook page to promote their sales and events to current and potential customers. However, with only 79 fans, very few people were listening.
Action
G-Force’s Digital Marketing Team planned an aggressive new plan to make this endeavor successful and a full digital marketing program was placed. It included email marketing, Rich Media on local news sites, Facebook Ads, and the inclusion of Facebook on all traditional media. Content was boosted by working side-by-side with Colfax Furniture to get photos of their current pieces along with pricing to help instigate conversation with fans.
The numbers quickly started to rise; gaining 700 new fans through email and digital marketing. Then, with the contesting of Colfax Gift Cards on Social Media; a marketable database was built.
Contesting continued throughout the months of August and October. As a result, their fan numbers grew exponentially and only a handful was lost over a four month period.
Engagement
People who engage with Social Media want to be talked to, not at. They want their opinions valued. That is just what G-Force and the team at Colfax Furniture did in October 2011. During the High Point Furniture Market, members from the Colfax team sent pictures of potential inventory to G-Force. In turn, we posted the pictures and solicited questions and comments from their 2000+ fans about the pieces being considered.
Results
With great content, interaction, marketing dollars and a watchful eye, Colfax Furniture is now sitting happily at 2,850 active Facebook Fans. The Colfax fans comment and respond to almost every post with likes, comments, and shares.
